History of the Indonesian Education University (UPI)

The Indonesian University of Education was established on October 20, 1954 in Bandung, inaugurated by the Minister of Teaching Education Mr. Muhammad Yamin. Originally called the Teacher Education College (PTPG), it was established with a historical background of national growth, which realizes that efforts to educate and educate the nation are an important part in fulfilling independence.

Various Faculties

The Faculty of Education, the Social Sciences Teacher Training Faculty, the Literature and Arts Teaching Faculty, the exact Science Teaching Faculty, and the Engineering Science Teacher Training Faculty.

The arrangement of higher education programs carried out by the government by applying multi program and multistrada, followed up by IKIP Bandung with the opening of the Education Diploma Program. In order to improve the qualifications of Kindergarten Teachers or play groups in 1996/1997 IKIP Bandung opened the PGTK D II Program.
